DonorTec Donation Program for Eligible Not for Profit organisations

Order before 1 July and benefit

Some of our donor partners limit their order requests to 1 each financial year. DonorTec wants you to be aware that if you request any software from the donor partners listed below before July 1, your account will be reset again to allow you to place another order anytime from July 1 onwards.

Please note that any unused allotment from this fiscal cannot be carried over. Please note: This message does NOT apply to Microsoft products.

To help you make the most of this opportunity, we’ve highlighted some of our partners whose products are affected by the fiscal year end. Maximise your benefits by placing a request from any of the following donors so that you may place another request after 1 July 2010.

Please keep in mind your organisation is more than likely eligible to request products from not just one but multiple partners.

Microsoft software  fees are increasing 1 July

We have received notice from Microsoft that prices on many of its most popular software offerings will be increasing over the next two months. Our admin fees, which Microsoft's donation program dictates be roughly 4 percent of retail, will be increasing, too, but because we know many of the nonprofits we serve plan to request product donations in-line with our fiscal year end cycle (which runs from July 1 through June 30), we're holding admin fees at the current levels until July 1, 2010.

Microsoft planning guide

Since the beginning of 2007 thousands of nonprofit organisations have benefited from receiving technology donations and discounts via DonorTec valued at over $70 million. For this we must thank our partners for their amazing and continuing contributions to the sector.

To ensure you get the most out of Microsoft’s donation program it is good to plan ahead and thoroughly by taking an inventory of your organisation's current and future technology needs.

Our Microsoft planning guide could save you a lot of time and resourcing in the future even if you are not looking to place your Microsoft order in the immediate future.

Office 2010 Professional donortecDonorTec members who have current Software Assurance benefits from the procurement of Office Professional 2007 can now upgrade to Microsoft Office 2010 for free directly from Microsoft through the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC). Organisations that have had little to no previous experience with MAK or KMS might require additional information about the activation processes for this new offering. So, Microsoft has put together some information about these activation processes http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/ee691939.aspx and provides a video about MAK & KMS activation.

Tell us what you think of the new version at office2010@donortec.org or post your thoughts.
