Your Questions Answered
Q1. I have received my Microsoft media disks but no volume licence keys. How do I obtain them?
You can request your Microsoft Licence Confirmation Email yourself by following the instructions below:
- Please login to your DonorTec account at http://www.donortec.com.au
- Once logged in click on “My Account” via the user menu which is located on the right hand side of the screen
- Click on the icon that says “View Order History” This will open your order history to list all previous transactions
- Click on the “View” link located under “Order Status” under the relevant transaction
- Scroll down until you see the option to resend the license email copy by email. Alternatively you can view your license details on the same page.
Q2. Why have I received notification from Microsoft that my licenses are about to expire?
Your organisation's donated Microsoft licenses received via DonorTec are wholly owned by your organisation. It is only your software assurance that may be due to expire after 2 years – not your licenses. This means that you will simply not be able to downgrade or upgrade the software you have received via software assurance.
The products you have ordered and received via DonorTec are licensed perpetually in that they remain licensed for as long as the machine on which they are installed is operational. If you wish to renew your software assurance you may do this by requesting additional licenses/seats via DonorTec. You do not have to renew your software assurance if you do not want to access software assurance benefits.
Also worth noting is that after 2 years from your initial order, your account is reset so that you may again order up to 6 titles and 50 licenses per title over the ensuing 2 year period.
For information on how you can utilise your software assurance before it expires, make sure you take full advantage of your Software Assurance benefits
