Microsoft System Center Server Management Suite Datacenter (Includes Software Assurance)

Microsoft System Center Server Management Suite Datacenter is licensed on a per-processor basis and allows an unlimited number of operating system environments (OSEs) on a single physical server to be managed by all of the licenced Microsoft System Center technologies, provided that a Microsoft System Center Server Management Suite Datacenter licence has been acquired for each processor used by the server. A minimum of two per-processor licenses must be assigned to a server device, meaning organisations must acquire at least two Microsoft System Center Server Management Suite Datacenter licences.

Microsoft System Center Server Management Suite Enterprise is also available. Microsoft System Center Server Management Suite Enterprise allows up to four virtual operating system environments (VOSEs) plus the physical operating system environment (POSE) to be managed by all of the licensed Microsoft System Center technologies, provided the POSE is limited to supporting the virtualization capability per license.

Microsoft System Center Client Management Licence suites are also available, both Microsoft System Center Client Management Suite User Management Licence and Microsoft System Center Operating System Environment Management Licence. A client ML suite is required for each nonserver device managed by the applicable System Center technologies.

Acquiring the Installation Media and License Key

Management licences do not require media, license keys, or setup codes.  Installation media for Data Protection Manager and Virtual Machine Manager server software will be shipped to you free of charge.

Note: Although organisations can request multiple management licences, they will be licenced for only one Microsoft Data Protection Manager server and one Virtual Machine Manager server installation.
