Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager Server Management Licence Standard

This standard server management licence (ML) allows one server's basic operating system workloads to be managed by System Center Configuration Manager 2007. When a device has multiple operating system environments (OSEs), a separate ML is required for each OSE managed by Configuration Manager.

An enterprise ML is necessary for management of server applications and other premium workloads. Each server requires either a standard or an enterprise ML, but not both.

User and OSE client MLs are also available. A client ML is required for each nonserver device managed by Configuration Manager.

All server MLs are licenced per OSE. In other words, if a server is running multiple OSEs, one ML is necessary for each OSE managed by Configuration Manager. For more information about licensing Configuration Manager, see System Center Licensing (PDF) from Microsoft.
