Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Premium Add-on supplements the technologies of Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Standard Edition. It is intended for small organisations that have limited IT resources but still need to run a large number of line-of-business applications.
Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Premium Add-on includes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 for Small Business plus a licence for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 in addition to the one included in Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Standard Edition.

Organisations wishing to run Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Premium Add-on should consider Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Standard and Premium Add-on Bundle, which counts as 1 title in Microsoft's donation program title restrictions.
Licences Included
Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Premium Add-on must be used with a validly licenced copy of Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Standard Edition, Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Essentials, or Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 Standard Edition. It includes two types of licences:
- A server licence for Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 Premium Add-on
- Five premium client access licences (CALs) that can be used for either users or devices
Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 is available only as a 64-bit operating system and can be installed only on a server with a 64-bit processor.
