Microsoft Lync Server User CAL - Plus (Includes Software Assurance)

This Microsoft Lync Server Plus User Client Access Licence (CAL) can be used only in conjunction with a Microsoft Lync Server Standard User CAL. It supports the enterprise telephony capabilities of Microsoft Lync Server on any number of computers or other devices (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home).

Audio, video, and web conferencing and application-sharing capabilities for Microsoft Lync Server require a separate licence, the Microsoft Lync Server Enterprise User CAL. To enable all features in Microsoft Lync Server 2010, all three CALs (Microsoft Lync Server Standard User CAL, Microsoft Lync Server Enterprise User CAL and Microsoft Lync Server Plus User CAL) are needed.

Microsoft Lync Server Device CALs are also available. A Microsoft Lync Server Device CAL authorises one computer to access Microsoft Lync Server's enterprise telephony capabilities, regardless of the number of users (for example, on a shared workstation).

Licence Only: This licence does not require media, licence keys, or setup codes.

Software Assurance: Under the Software Assurance program, you have the right to install any new release of products covered in the agreement during the term of your coverage.
