Microsoft Lync Server User CAL - Enterprise (Includes Software Assurance)

This Microsoft Lync Server Enterprise User Client Access Licence (CAL) can be used only in conjunction with a  Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Standard User CAL or Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 User CAL. It supports the audio, video, and web conferencing and application-sharing capabilities of Microsoft Lync Server 2010 or Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 on any number of computers or other devices (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home).

The Microsoft Lync Server Enterprise User CAL additionally enables voice telephony features when used with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2. Voice telephony features for Microsoft Lync Server 2010 require a separate licence, the Microsoft Lync Server Plus User CAL. To enable all features in Microsoft Lync Server 2010, all three CALs (Microsoft Lync Server Standard User CAL, Microsoft Lync Server Enterprise User CAL and Microsoft Lync Server Plus User CAL) are needed.

Microsoft Lync Server Device CALs are also available. A Microsoft Lync Server Device CAL authorises one computer to access additional features in Microsoft Lync Server 2010 or Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2, regardless of the number of users (for example, on a shared workstation).

Licence Only: This licence does not require media, licence keys, or setup codes.

Software Assurance: Under the Software Assurance program, you have the right to install any new release of products covered in the agreement during the term of your coverage.
