Microsoft Lync Server External Connector Licence - Enterprise (Includes Software Assurance)

Microsoft Lync Server Enterprise External Connector licence can be used only in conjunction with a Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Standard External Connector licence or Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 External Connector licence. It supports audio, video, and web conferencing and application-sharing capabilities for any number of external users or devices accessing a single installation of Microsoft Lync Server 2010 or Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2.

Microsoft Lync Server Enterprise External Connector licence additionally enables voice telephony features when used with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2. Voice telephony features for Microsoft Lync Server 2010 require a separate licence, the Microsoft Lync Server Plus External Connector licence. To enable all features in Microsoft Lync Server 2010, all three Microsoft Lync Server External Connector licences (Microsoft Lync Server Standard External Connector licence, Microsoft Lync Server Enterprise External Connector licence and Microsoft Lync Server Plus External Connector licence) are needed.

Generally, an external user is defined as anyone who is not an employee of the organisation. For example, external users can include clients, suppliers, and alumni of the organisation. External users do not include independent contractors, agents, service providers, or other persons providing services to or on behalf of the organisation holding the licence.

The Microsoft Lync Server Enterprise External Connector licence may not be used as a means of reselling or repackaging Microsoft Lync Server 2010 or Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 as a hosted service.

Licence Only: This licence does not require media, licence keys, or setup codes.

Software Assurance: Under the Software Assurance program, you have the right to install any new release of products covered in the agreement during the term of your coverage.
