Microsoft Core User CAL Suite (Includes Software Assurance)

The Core User CAL Suite is a set of user CALs (Client Access Licenses) for key Microsoft server technologies: Windows Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, and Systems Management Server.

One Core User CAL Suite gives one user access to these servers on any number of computers and other devices, with the exception of Systems Management Server 2003. The Systems Management Server CML (Configuration Management License) permits one device to access Systems Management Server, regardless of the number of users.

The Core User CAL Suite contains the following licenses:

• Windows Server User CAL
• Exchange Server User CAL - Standard
• SharePoint Server Standard Edition User CAL
• Systems Management Server 2003 CML

Device CALs are also available. A device CAL authorizes one computer or other device to access these servers, regardless of the number of users (for example, a shared workstation).
