Microsoft

As part of its commitment to the nonprofit sector, Microsoft has expanded its software donation program to better serve charitable and nonprofit organisations.

Microsoft appointed TechSoup to implement broad scale donations in EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa), Asia, and the Pacific. TechSoup currently delivers technology donation programs for over 25 corporate donors in the Americas and, through partner NGOs such as DonorTec, throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and now the Pacific region. Microsoft products were amongst the first offered through Donortec in Australia.

Microsoft donation program Eligibility Criteria

The Microsoft Software Donation Program for Australian nonprofits is one of Connecting Up Australia’s most popular resources. Organisations request Microsoft product donations every day, but unfortunately many do not take full advantage of everything the Microsoft donation program has to offer. By understanding Microsoft's donation limits and anticipating your nonprofit’s future technology needs, you can be sure to maximize your benefit through the program.

In these book pages, we will outline Microsoft's donation restrictions and limits. Next, we will offer some tips for planning ahead and planning thoroughly so that one annual Microsoft donation can serve your nonprofit's software needs year-round. Finally, we will help you get more out of your donation by summarising the rights and privileges that come with Microsoft's Software Assurance program.
