Cisco 5500 Series 25-User SSL VPN License Upgrade Pack

The Cisco ASA5500-SSL-25= licence upgrade pack enables the Cisco ASA 5505 or 5510 security appliance to support up to 25 concurrent SSL VPN sessions.

SSL VPN sessions offer a flexible and secure way to extend network resources to virtually any remote user with access to the Internet and a web browser. Administrators can customise access and extend the reach of their organisations' networks to individuals according to their roles, such as teleworkers, contractors, and partners.

These SSL VPN licences are not stackable, meaning only one SSL VPN licence upgrade pack can be applied to any one security appliance. Multiple licence packs cannot be used with a single appliance. An organisation that requires a greater number of user licences than is available through TechSoup should contact Cisco directly to request licences at regular retail prices.

This licence pack does not increase the maximum number of concurrent VPN sessions a security appliance supports.

Obtaining Your Licences: Cisco donation processing takes 6 to 8 weeks upon approval. After your request is processed, you will receive a product authorization key (PAK) through standard mail. You will be directed to enter this key and your security appliance serial number on the Cisco website, where you will receive an activation key for your licence pack. Entering this key through your appliance's command-line interface will activate your SSL VPN licences.
